Governments

.. There are three major types of governments on the continent of the Great Realms, Kingdom, Empires and Factions. While Factions only are made up of small land claims with a singular village or township, Empires and Factions are formed from vast amounts of land with multiple villages and townships, with a central capital city. The structure of government in each Faction varies, while Kingdoms and Empires have destinct features.

KINGDOMS, are ruled by a King or Queen who controls their government through a council of advisors made up of close and personal people to the person in power, who advise him or her on daily governmental subjects. A King or Queen has full control over its government, but can be overruled by their very own councils. Of course such acts can be seen as traitorist, which would result in death.

EMPIRES, are ruled by an Emperor or Empress and has no advising council. They retain full and supreme rulership over the government, and cannot be overruled by anyone. Some Emperors or Empresses will choose to have several advisors, but unlike Kingdoms they do not have the power to veto the Ruler. Most empires run a dual government with a Central Government ruling over a small faction like sub-government.

FACTIONS, vary in the way they are controlled. Typically they are ruled by a single person who holds the highest ranking, or a council of high ranking members. Most factions are only made up of a single township or village and its surrounding land.

CLANS, are also concidered governments, even though they are typically religious in nature and only rule over a grouping of people, and not villages and townships. Larger governments choose whether to include clans in politics or not. Though somtimes Factions are created from various Clans, resulting mostly in religious governments. It should also be noted though mostly religious in nature, various clans are created by the grouping of members who believe in the same cause.

.. During the events of Century Zero the structure of the Great Realms Governments all but disappeared. With the fall of the meteor and the natural diaster that came after it, the Kingdoms and Empires were overwelmed with the problems at hand to the point that finally the citizens revolted. This resulted in numberous rogue armies to form and begin a march across the realms, in search of wealth and power. Between the revolts and forming armies, most Kingdoms and Empires were overthrown and vanished. For over three centuries the continent was thrown into this utter chaos until the Elder God of Toril, Ao stepped in and put an end to what had become known simply as the War against Good and Evil. During these treaty talks the current major government of the realms were formed.

Ruled By Hazanko Bergvrae (The Bergvrae Family)

.. The Kingdom of Blue Haven is located in the southwstern region of the continent, made up of lush forests, grasslands and multiple lakes, rivers and streams. The majority of the popualtion is made up of elven races, and is ruled by the elven family Bergvrae. The family prides itself with architech and engineering skills, mastering water technology. The Kingdom built itself on this technology during the industrial revolution.

.. Blue Haven City located near the center of the region is home to its largest population, and houses the Government as the Capital City. The Kingdom includes several large townships and two other major cities such as Junon City located on the coast. Junon serves as a major trade port inbetween Figaro City to the far north and Hungers to the far south.

.. Its government is ran as a typical kingdom, with the Bergvrae Family ruling with their close advising councils. The general population is in favor of their rulership, as it can be said there are no complaints. There is generally no violence towards this family, due to the high support rate. The Kingdom itself is protected by the Paladins of the Haven, an elite army made up of elven warriors and archers, all highly skilled in battle while mounted.

.. Even though true Homelands were lost in the chaos of Century 0, and afterwards the Elven Valley of the eastern realms was declared the official elven homeland, most elves concider the Blue Haven Kingdom region to be the one true elven homeland.

.. The Deva Empire is located in the northwestern region of the continent, much of its land made up of mountains with forests and grasslands on its western side, bordering Eastern Sea. Its population is a mixture of all races, but with the dwarven race being the majority, it is ruled by the dwarven Deva family who built the empire with metal. Plenty of metal ores were found in the eastern mountains, leading to the migration of dwarves to the region. The Empire built itself on the technology of metal forging, inventing many of the modern techniques. It is said this empire was responsible for the Industrial Revolution.

.. During the height of its mining age, Metal Valley City had been the city with the largest population. During this time the city housed the original dwarven governmental, and was a central point for all mining operations. As the world age, more mines appeared in the Great Realms, the operations at Metal Valley slowly dwindled. The population began to move westwards to the grassland, where the new capital of Deva City was founded. Business and Trade had begun to take over the empire while the mines slowed their operation, and Deva City became a central point for the movement of goods between Figaro and the Northern Territory. With the creation of the Vectorian Continent Railway System, this city was choosen as a central point for the railroad to converge. The central government move from Metal Valley to Deva City as its population became more diverse than dwarven. The city itself is unique, due to the mass amount of trade passing through the region, Deva City was built with very few permanant structures. Mostly with the exception of the city wall and Deva Castle located in the center, the entire city is made up of wagons, tents and caravan of traders and businessmen. There are only two official roads leading through the city, small streets are formed but constantly change as the merchants change their location.

.. The government has been in a state of constant change for the past several decades, since the death of Hector Deva, the last bloodline family member to rule over Deva. Despite numberous attempts, Hector was unable to impregnant a female to birth an heir, and with death came the death of the original government. From this point powers kept changing as different groups attempted to claim the throne, each being overthrown by another. The Empire has had all types of rulership, from fanatical to psychotic, religion to military. It wasn't until the last decade that the Deva Empire found some peace, as the government turned to more of a faction approach at power, giving rulership over a council of officials elected by the people. In recent times though, members of a religious group known as the Black Church has gained majority control over the government.

.. The Empire is not protected by any central armed forces, only by the individual law keepers in each township due to the governmental unrest. No attempts to invade the country have been made, most of unsure of how Deva would defend itself.

Ruled By Edgar & Sabin Figaro
Armed By Knights of Figaro
High Officials

.. The Figaro Kingdom is located in the western region of the continent, its lands once a lush grassland that was reduced to desert during the Lifestream draught of the 10th century. Its population is a mixture of all races, with humans in majority rule. The Figaro Family has ruled over this grassland/desert kingdom since the begining of written history, being one of only two governments to survive the chaos of the first three centuries. The empire itself was built on a denisty of industry, technology and trade, having been allies with the Vectorian Empire in the east for many centuries.

.. Before and after the 9th Century, Figaro City on the western coast has always been the city with the most population. This vast coastal city stretches for miles on a penisula between the Eastern Sea and the Figaro Sea. Before the 9th Century the grasslands of Figaro were dotted with small townships, who's population was forced to converge together during the Lifestream Draught, resulting in only several large townships along the shores of the Figaro Sea, and its borders to the east. The Figaro Empire rules over the entire western desert.

.. Figaro would be the cause of 'The War Of The West' which took place during the 9th century. During the inventing of the 8th Century the Kingdom discovered black powder which was put to many uses such as explosives. Trade Agreements were made with the Deva Empire to the north, as the explosive powder was useful in mining operations. In exchange Figaro was given metal and iron. With this iron the Figaro Kingdom would become the inventors of Firearms, hand held cannons which would combine little iron pellets with black powder, creating a deadly projectile. As the 9th Century rolled around these crude devices became sleek and easy to use, the iron pellets turned into small metal capsoles, one end fill with lead, the other filled with black powder. A triggering device would be created, allowing the wielder to fire the weapon with a squeeze of a finger.

.. Wizards and Mages who had majority control over the western and central Great Realms became outrages, seeing a device, a weapon that could overpower them. Figaro limited the production of these devices, only giving them to Figaro Officials who were also wizards and mages. Then as if the deities had shunned Figaro, something began to happen. The Figaro Grasslands began to die, slowly forcing the population together. Along side with the death of the Grasslands, Wizards and Mages all around the western and central Great Realms began to notice their magical abilities disappearing. As the grasslands died and the wizards became weaker, the common thugs, warriors, gladiators, mercenaries were able to overthrow the wizards. With this they got their hands on the Figaro Firearms, which made matters worse.

.. Technology was something most wizards shunned, even though the Figaro Firearms were just that. With their magical powers almost gone, the wizards turned to technology yet again, and invented a device to protected themselves with. The Castor Firearm which resembles the Figaro Firearms was a magical device built of enchanted lifestream materia. Other materia carved into spheres was enchanted with basic spells. When placed in a chamber inside the Castor Firearm, the weapon would convert physical energy into mana energy, allowing the wielder to cast the spell. The wizards would use this device to regain some control, but they would not return to full control until the lifestream returned. The technology of Figaro Firearms was banned by the entire continent, while Castor Firearms were ordered destroyed, yet some survived. All documents and materials related to both the Figaro and Castor Firearms are said to be destroyed, while rumor says the Figaro Kingdom keeps the devices and knowledge under lock and key. The Figaro Grassland has never regrown, despite the return of the lifestream.

.. Before the public sale of Makou Technology to the Great Realms by the Tripower Kingdom, through various treaties and agreements, the Figaro Kingdom became the first government in the Great Realms to recieve Makou Technology. It was said these agreements were made due to the problems Figaro had gone under since the grasslands turned to desert.

.. The Kingdom is ruled by a dual kingship, it was said that the Figaro Brothers, Edgar and Sabin were unable to choose which would rule over the Kingdom after their father's death. It was decided they would rule together as equals. In short this has created a somewhat dual Kingdom, while Edgar rules over the northern half of Figaro and Sabin rules over the southern half. Each King has its own personal advising council. Yet both Kings are protected and served by the Knights of Figaro armed forces, a very large army of soldiers and wizards.

.. In modern times the Figaro Kingdom ranks the 2nd Powerful Government in the Great Realms behind the Tripower Kingdom, leading in trade, business and technology.

.. The Heifong Empire is located in the central region of the continent, made up of nothing more than the continent's highest mountains and a central circular valley in the center. This mountain range is better known as the Central Bowl. Its population a mixture of all races with a high majority of dwarven people inside the mountains. Due to its geological location it has been a central point for trade between and east and the west, espcially in recent years. Its government has been ruled by various Emperors and Empresses, but has never maintained a bloodline.

.. Heifong City is located at the eastern end of the valley lake and has always been home to the government. It has also become home to the Black Market. The first major stop on the Vectorian Continental Railway, Heifong's position as a central point in the continent only grew with the onslaught of the Tripowerian Airships. This caused Heifong City to expand at an alarming rate as more and more ships began docking here. And in most recent years the invention of the Makou Airship Portals, Heifong begin the first government to be connected with the Tripower by one, only cemented their claim in the trade industry. Beyond Heifong City on the edges of the central valley are smaller townships, mostly mining towns.

.. Its government has mostly been ruled by Emperors and Empresses created by wealth, power, trade and industry. It was not until more recent times that this shifted to a new type of power, simply called Airship Pirates. Pirates had been well known on the high oceans which had served as the major trading routes until the invention of trains and airships. With airships the culture was reborn as certain wizard cults in the Heifong Region began purchasing airships, arming them and then raiding other passing airships. This proved good business with the heavy airship trade traffic moving through the area which led to the Anten Pirate Guild to take power over the government with their newly found wealth. There are numberous pirate guilds across the Great Realms, said to be controlled by the Anten. The Guild though denies any connection with any other guild, and has moved passed airship piracy.

.. Xavier Vector is Emperor of Heifong and Ruler of the Anten Pirate Guild. An undead necromancer, during his true life he had ruled over the Vectorian Empire during the Industrial Revolution of the 4th Century. He is unseen by the public and only speaks through his advising council. It is said he never speaks of Vector, even when Ganon Vector was assassinated by Kefka Palazzo, not a word was uttered on the matter. No one has dared to attack Heifong, and it would be said that the Anten Pirate Guild is its owned armed forces.

.. The Northern Territory is located along the northern coast of the Great Realms and is made up of mostly forests, rivers and grasslands, with some of the Central Bowl Mountains along its southern border with Heifong. There is no central government, only small Factions which rule over the individual townships that dot the landscape. The Vectorian Empire to the east passed the Northern Spine Mountains had once attempted to claim the Northern Territory as its own, but was defeated in Ardanton. Since then the Empire has remained behind the Northenr Spine. The only armed forces are the city guards and law enforcers, with possible citizen militia.

.. The Mahn'Tor Territory is located in the most northern region of the continent, further north than the Northern Territory. The Territory is made up of a frozen wasteland filled with some forests and tundra, but mostly snowfields and mountains. Its southern border is judged by where the snow does not melt. There are only a few small settlements in the territory, the Keep of Mahn'Tor being the largest. Its civilization is mostly made up of minotaurs. In recent years Sephiroth has appeared to take control of this region, enslaving the minotaur people. Even though he is said to rule over this territory, it is not seen as an official government.

.. The Southern Tier was originally part of the Vectorian Empire until the middle of the 12th century. Even before its succession from Vector it had fallen out of control of the true main government. As the great Vectorian Empire began to decay from within, its control over the lands began to draw back towards the capital region. The Southern Territory located on the Tier's southern border had also been controlled by Vector since the 10th century. With this the Criminal Elements of the region took control, and Vector turned a blind eye to this while the Syndicates lined their pockets with platinum. A Resistance Group to the Criminal Syndicates would appear and begin fighting against their control. Over several years this unnamed group would suceed, and force Vector to retake control of the region. The government had not improved internally, thus their control over the Southern Tier was weak, and for the citizens nothing changed. This is when the Unnamed Resistance Group changed its tactics and entered the political ring. They dubbed themselves the Tripower State (to be known later as the Tripower Kingdom). They challenged Vector to an election, let the people decide. Vector allowed it under the belief that their citizens would not dare vote against the Empire. But they did, and the Vectorian Southern Tier now became the Tripower State.

.. The Tripower won the election with promises to improve the quality of life and rebuild the now decaying cities. Once this was accomplished, control over the cities would be given to the citizens in the form of Faction Governments. The people would have to wait almost twenty years and endure two wars with Vector before this would happen. Each major city is now under the control of an Independant Faction. Some choose to continue to deal with the Tripower Kingdom in exchange for taxes and fees.

.. Up until the 10th Century the Doma Kingdom has ruled over what is known as the Southern Territory. During this time the Vectorian Empire has become the strongest empire in the Great Realms. The Doma Kingdom has been a major provider of raw materials to Vector, much of it made by Doma itself with other materials coming from the Blue Haven Kingdom to its west. For centuries the two governments had trade agreements, but while Vector became the strongest government in the realms, it had also become very corrupt.

.. This agreement known as a contract was held for one hundred years. At the dawn of the 9th Century the current King of Doma demanded more money from Vector. Vector claimed the contract should hold as it had for many centuries, while Doma argued that the contract should be rewritten anytime either government King or Emperor changed. Doma also made the claim that most of its materials were being shipped to Vector, which had starved their own kingdom.

.. No contract was settled and Doma cut its trade agreement with Vector, cutting off all material shipments to the Empire, and began trading with the Blue Haven and Figaro Kingdom. Vector invaded, Doma formed its army and began attempting to push Vector out of its lands. The two governments would struggle against each other until Vector reached the Capital City of Doma. Vector would make the final blow to the Kingdom, an event shunned by the continent and claimed to be the climax of power for the Empire of Vector.

.. The water supply of Doma City was poisoned by Vector during a single night. As the city awoke and began to use the water, everyone would die by noon. With the death of the Doma Central Government, Vector would begin a campaign of poisoning the Doma townships, burning farms and salting fields. Slowly the people of Doma died off, and Vector would obliterate all its townships. The Southern Territory was concidered a part of Vector for several decades, but due to it now being nothing but wilderness, slowly became a territory.

.. The War Crimes against Vector for oblierating the Doma Kingdom from the continent through such vile acts was never acted upon in the global arena. The other governments of the Great Realms felt Vector had punished itself. Through its own rage and violence, it had oblierated its major source of materials, and now its factories would truely flounder.

.. The Tripower Kingdom began as a nameless resistance group against the Vectorian Empire. The southern part of Vector, mostly beyond the Reaper's Scythe Mountains was dubbed the Vectorian Southern Tier, and had become horribly corrupt by crime syndicates who had bribed the Vectorian Empire to turn a blind eye to the region. This resistance group pushed to remove these Crime Syndicates which had taken over the smaller Factions which ruled over the townships. Through an underground war with several notable events, this group would sucessfully remove the Crime Syndicates from power, only to be replaced by the Vectorians who were upset over the matter, as many politicians were not being paid so well. With this the group would turn to a different tactic and enter the political ring, dubbing themselves the Tripower and campaigned to restore the Vectorian Southern Tier. They challenged Vector to give the people an election to choose who shall rule over them, and Vector would agree believing the people would fear for themselves if they voted against Vector.

.. With a landslide victory, the Tripower Kingdom would be formed, originally dubbed the Tripower State. Their name itself came from the three main leaders of the original resistance, Nisstyre Bloodstoner the brains of the operation, Hathorne Judge who trained members and Sid Deadwillow who created the various inventions used in their original campaign. Upholding its promise the Tripower Kingdom would begin a series of 'Work Projects' used to generate jobs and wealth within the region, while also improving on the decaying townships the Crime Syndicates and Vector had left behind.

.. The Tripower would rapidly grow in wealth and power with various major inventions created by Sid Deadwillow, namely the technology known as Makou. Makou Technology is the process of extracting the planet's lifestream and turning it into a burnable gas known as Makou. These factories would be called Makou Reactors. The technology itself would replace many various technologies in the world, many which had been created by the Vectorian Empire. Namely Makou Technology which was cleaner and more efficent, replaced the Vectorian invented Coal powered Steam Boilers used in various inventions and machinery. The Tripower created improved versions of this machinery, which slowly made Vector obsolete. The second blow to Vector would be the Makou Combustion Engine which replaced most of the Vectorian Steam Engines. Airships which had been invented by Vectorians were recreated, its original design under Vector Steam had proven to be too heavy to flight, as the only 'lighter than air' gas known to the Great Realms was helium, and helium was rare. Makou Gas comes in various types, a burnable gas used for things like stoves and street lamps, a sludge like liquid used in the Makou Combustion Engines, and a 'lighter than air' gas. Combined the reinvention of the airship caused a major boom in the industrial and trade world. Airships became the main mode of transportation for materials, supplies and cargo between the businesses, corperations and governments of the realms.

.. During the fight with the Crime Syndicates, the Tripower had suffer some major loses. Its most notable that being the small fishing village of Torregiano which had been their base and home. The first attack by the Resistance Group against the Syndicates involved the destruction of Thalos, which had become home to the high ranking officials of the syndicates. In retaliation the Crime Syndicate would seek out the Resistance Group and destroy them, which led them to Torregiano. Despite the claims of it people that the resistance group was not based there, the Crime Syndicates had the city razed with its people inside. The Resistance Group would return to this horrific scene only a few days afterwards from a long trip west to the Figaro Kingdom.

.. One of the largest Tripowerian Work Projects would be the new City of Torregiano, a preplanned city designed by Sid Deadwillow. The city itself would have 8 Makou Reactors to relieve the now stressing Makou Reactor Zero to the southwest. The entire city would be built in several years and most of its workers would become its citizens, and work its factories. The Tripower held an opening ceremony for the city on the same day the fishing village had been destroyed, to honor them.

.. Ganon Vector ordered soldiers of the Vectorian Army to strap themselves full of black powder, and to sacrifice themselves in the name of Vectorian Pride at this ceremony. The plan would be executed, turning a day that was meant to honor those who had died in Torregiano into something more, the start of a long war.

.. From 1254 to 1267 the two governments would fight two different wars, the first being against Ganon Vector who would be assassinated by his advisor Kefka Palazzo. During Ganon's War battles were fought under the treaties signed in the 3rd century at the end of the War of Good and Evil. These treaties laid out the foundation for civilized war.

.. Kefka would take power in 1262 and declare peace with the Tripower, pleading for their aid to help reconstruct Vector. In Tripowerian Tradition they would agree to help, and Vector would be reconstructed. This would prove to be a wrongful move by the Tripower Kingdom, as in 1265 investigations into the disappearance of espers led the Tripower to Vector. Vector in an attempt to find a replacement for Makou Technology would stumble upon Magitek Technology, which was created by Magicite, which as the crystalized remains of espers. This would led to the second war which was not fought under the War of Good and Evil Treaties. Kefka now had machines known as Magitek Armor at his disposal, these machines which ran off the magicite were basically large beasts the Vectorian Soldiers would ride, and had potient magical abilities allowing any soldier to use magic.

.. Despite this invention the Tripower would sucessfully wear down the Vectorian Empire until it declared defeat. In 1267 what was left of the Magitek Army was destroyed in the Battle of Westbridge. Vector now lacking support of its people, an army or wealth would retreat into its borders.

.. In 1268 the Tripower Kingdom would return the Vectorian Southern Tier to its original Faction Rulership, fullfilling its promise to reconstruct the region. The Tripower would retain the grasslands north of the Reaper's Scythe Mountains and the city of Torregiano. Most of the Southern Tier Factions still recieve certain forms of aid from the Tripower, such as a yearly budget given by the Tripower Kingdom in return for certain taxes.

.. The Tripower Kingdom does not operate like other kingdoms, and has several unique situations. Nisstyre Bloodstoner is the God of Nightmares, an Elder God Apprentice and known as the Creator / Father of the Great Realms. He is also King of the Tripower. But as King, Nisstyre is bound by immortal law to only act as a mortal, unable to use his deity powers and knowledge in the position. It is made sure that there is a clear seperation between King Nisstyre the mortal and the God of Nightmares. Due to his immortality, he has declared the position of King to be an elected position, and that one day he will step down from power, allowing the people to choose their new King. And unlike other Kingdoms the position of King has been split into two seperate powers, with the position known as Viceroy being a secondary leader. This Viceroy acts for the King but has less power. This position is also elected by the people, and is currently held by Nisstyre's son Entreri Bloodstoner.

.. The actual Government of the Great Realms is controlled by the Tripowerian Congress. Unlike the personal and small advising councils Kings typically keep in their court, the congress is made up of senators who represent the Factions and Clans of the Southern Tier, Outlaws and Citizens. Problems, Issues and Policies over the Tripower Kingdom are discussed and voted upon by these Senators. Besides the Congress there are also the Internal Departments of the Tripower which deal with certain aspects of the government, most of its regulations and policies handed down from the Congress.

.. The Vectorian Empire is one of two original governments to survive Century Zero and the chaotic time afterward. Up until recent time it had also been one of the most powerful and influential governments on the continent, reponsible for the modern era.

.. The Deva Empire is credited with the 4th Century Industrial Revolution with its Metal Forging Technology, but it was Vector which caused the actual revolution. Purchasing the technology from Deva and becoming the only other government with it, Vector quickly began building factories and soon out produced Deva. Despite this though treaties and contracts were signed with Deva for supplies.

.. Unlike the rest of the Great Realms who governments had built and controlled their industrial factories, Vector allowed private citizens to fund and construct their own. With this the Deva Metal Forging Technology would become public knowledge, allowing other individuals across the Great Realms to also open up their own operations. This is how Vector gave birth to the idea of Business.

.. During the 5th Century it became common practise for businesses to trade with one another. One business would purchase supplies from another business, and then sell their product to yet another business who would then sell it to merchants. Trading Ports began to appear all over the realms, and governments began to build new roads between townships and cities. The artform of how a road was construct would vary between each region, but it would be the Vectorians who came up with regulations and invented a stone material dubbed Vectorian Gravel that would eventually be used on all roads.

.. As all the factories and industries grew in wealth and power, it became common for Factory Owners to buy out other factory owners to gain more wealth and power. Soon these factory owners would team with other factory owners, combining their wealth and power into something much more larger. During the 6th Century the Vectorian Family known as the Palazzos who had accimulated great wealth and power in the empire, would begin selling 'shares' of their factory to the common citizens. Soon other factory owners began doing the same, and thus the Corperation was created. With Corperations the group known as the Stock Market began, which in itself was a business. For small fees the Stock Market would sell and regulate the 'shares' sold by the Corperations, dubbed Stocks. In return they would judge all corperations and base a value on their stock for which it would be sold at. Due to the Vectorian born Palazzo Family starting and basically creating Corperations and the Stock Market, Vector is given credit for these inventions.

.. During the 8th century the Vectorian Empire would yet again change the continent with the invention of the Steam Locomotive and namely, Steam Technology. Giant tanks known as boilers were heated with coal, causing the water to boil and turn to steam. Pipes at the top would feed the steam to a piston in which it would push under pressure, and then be released. This locomotive utilized this steam engine, a massive cart which propelled itself along two rails of iron. Once the technology was settled, Vector began a continential campaign to lay 'railroads' from coast to coast to improve on trade.

.. Problems would begin for Vector at the dawning of the 9th Century. For several centuries the Vectorian Empire had contract agreements with the Doma Kingdom to its south. This contract was rewritten every hundred years but an agreement could not be settled during the 9th Century talks. Doma demanded more money for their materials, claiming they were loosing money by not trading with others and were starving their own factories. Vector claimed the contract should be held as it has for many centuries and its own factories were also starved for materials, while Doma argued it should be rewritten anytime a new King/Queen, Emperor/Empress came into power.

The Southern Territory was concidered a part of Vector for several decades, but due to it now being nothing but wilderness, slowly became a territory.

.. After the war with Doma, the Vectorian Empire would began to crumble as greed and corruption began to fill its political halls. With the loss of the Doma Materials that had supplied so many of their factories, the Empire began to suffer. A few projects were started during the 10th Century such as the Dwarven Kingdom, a mining and metal forge founded by Deva but controlled by Vector, and the New Ofcol Farming Projects.

.. The Vectorian Citizens would begin to fell the toll of the greed and corruption during the 11th Century as Crime Syndicates began to bribe officials and gain control over the area known as the Vectorian Southern Tier. These Syndicates allowed crime to overrule the common citizen, and diverted township funds into their own pockets, leading to the decay of the cities. The downslide would continue into the 12th Century as a Resistance Group to these Syndicates would appear, its goal to remove them from power. They would be sucessful which would cause Vector's hand back into controlling the area. The Resistance Group would change into a political group known as the Tripower, who would then challenge Vector to allow the citizens to vote who would rule over them. The Tripower campaigned to aid the Southern Tier, reconstruct it and return it to the original Factions which had ruled under Vector, yet this time would be independant. Vector did not campaign believeing fear would make the people vote for them. Fear did not and Vector lost its Southern Tier.

.. The Tripower would become a major problem to the Vectorians. With the forming of this new country, the Tripower began questing for new technology, and created Makou. Makou Technology, a burnable gas created from the lifestream began to take over the Vectorian Inventions. The Vectorian Steam Powered Locomotive was replaced with the Tripowerian Train. The Vectorian Airships which had proven too heavy for flight was reinvented by the Tripower and put into mass production, which took away Vector's control over the trade routes. Slowly the empire lost all it had created in the past twelve centuries, and its current Emperor was not going to stand for it.

.. Ganon Vector ordered an assult on the Tripower Kingdom through suicide bombings. This was done during the opening ceremony of the Tripowerian's preplanned city of Torregiano, built on the site of the original village of Torregiano which had been home to the resistance group, and destroyed for being so. Vectorian Soldiers strapped with black powder dedinated themselves within the crowd made up of Ex-Vectorians. This assult would cause the Tripower to declare war on Vector.

.. A civilized war was fought between the two governments, under rules and regulations written in the 3rd century after the War of Good and Evil. The Empire would begin exploring for a new technology to replace Makou, only to stumble over something more evil. Kefka Palazzo of the Vectorian Palazzos was the leader of the Vectorian Science and Technology Department and charged with the task of creating a new technology. He instead accidentally invented Magitek Technology. In an attempt to unlock the magical power stored inside Magicite Crystals, the remains of dead espers, he discovered these crystals could be used to power special machinery which unharnessed the magical powers, and allowed the user to use magic. These machines known as Magitek Armor gave all Vectorian Soldiers the capability of a fully trained wizard.

.. Magicite was somewhat rare, the mortal remains of an esper took well over a century to turn into magicite. Kefka searched for another way, and found that living espers could be processed into a weaker form of magicite. Ganon would not continue this line of research, and it is believed this is what led Kefka Palazzo to have Ganon Vector assassinated.

.. Kefka took control of Vector as Emperor, and quickly made peace with the Tripower. He pleaded and bargined for aid from the Tripower, who agree'd to help rebuild the destroyed empire. Several years passed and Kefka continued his research into Magicite. Espers began to disappear from Vector and the Tripower, and the Tripower began an investigation. It would be soon discovered that Kefka was kidnapping the espers and processing them into magicite. He was also building a massive army of Magitek Armor Machinery.

.. This deception would led to the 2nd war against Vector, declared by the Tripower in 1264. This time it did not follow the Rules and Regulations of War written in the 3rd Century. This war was more intense and violent, but it would only last several years, ending in 1267 when the last of the Magitek Army was defeated in Westbridge. With lack of support from its citizens, Vector was forced to declare defeat, and retreated behind its borders.

.. Since the end of the last war, Kefka has worked to rebuild both the Empire itself and its drained fortune. It can be noted in recent times that support amounst the Vectorian Citizens has grown, new industrial factories have been constructed and the economy is recovering from the wars.

.. Saint Plattsburgh is the largest populated city in Vector and typically declared the Capital City. During the early centuries the government had been housed in the major port city, but had relocated to a complex known as the Vectorian Fortress located northwest of the city. This complex housed the main government and armed forces of Vector. After the last war with the Tripower, Kefka ordered the centuries old iron Fortress torn down, melted and reforged into parts for a massive airship known as the Geomancer. The area that had been the Vectorian Fortress is now known as Vector City, and is home now to the most loyal of Vectorian Supporters. The city itself is now larger than the fortress.

.. The Vectorian Government is ruled over and controlled by the Emperor or Empress. Until Kefka Palazzo it had been a bloodline rulership. The structure of the empire has also changed under Kefka, where once the entire Empire was ruled by the central government, it has now split into two branches. The central government of Vector does not maintain its townships or cities with the exception of budgeting of funds. With the exception of Vector City, the other cities and townships of Vector are controlled by the Vectorian Citizens Empire, a council of citizens who regulate the control. Since the end of the 2nd war they have had little contact with Kefka, but continue to serve him and their country.

.. The Western Territory is lcoated in the western realms, bordered by Figaro, Deva, Heifong, Blue Haven, and the Nothern Territory. There is no central government, only small Factions which rule over the individual townships that dot the landscape. The only armed forces are the city guards and law enforcers, with possible citizen militia.

.. Communication between the governments of the surface world and that of the Great Realmism Underdark is limited. Much like the Faerun Underdark its population is mostly drow, but unlike Faerun there are surface races who dwell and live within this underground world of caverns. It is said that the Underdark stretches coast to coast but it has not been proven. The majority of the drow population lies underneath the eastern coast, namely the Tripower Kingdom - Southern Tier region. Drow City is known to be the capital city and is ruled by a sub-branch of the Faerun Noble House of Do'Urden. No wars have ever been waged with the drow, thus its defenses are unknown.
