Torregiano "City Of Technology"

The city of Torregiano is the capital city of the Tripower Kingdom, located on the Istar Sea on the eastern coast of the Great Realms. Originally Torregiano was a quiet and small fishing village which housed the Anti-Vectorian Resistance Group that would later become the Tripower Government. This region which was the southern region of the Vectorian Empire had become ruled by Crime Bosses, which the Resistance Group battled against. In one attack the group destroyed the city of Old Thalos, which had become home to many of the bosses and high officals of the syndicates. In retaliation for this, the Crime Bosses burned Torregiano down to the ground with all of its citizens inside. The Resistance Group would win against the crime bosses with violence, only to have them replaced by Vectorian Officals. The group turned to the Political Arena and challenged Vector to an election for control of the 'Southern Tier'. Vector agree'd believeing the citizens would not dare vote against them, yet in a landslide victory they did. The Tripower State was formed with promises to return the Southern Tier back to its former glory.

With the creation of Makou Energy, the Tripower State would fatten its vaults with contracts from other governments for this technology. The Tripower would begin a series of 'Public Projects' used to generate jobs and boost the economy. Its first project was the construction of a new capital city on the site of Old Torregiano. This new city of Technology would bare the same name. The New Torregiano would be designed and engineered by Sid Deadwillow (Chief of Tripower Science and Magic, Inventory of Makou Energy). The city would be constructed partially on land with a section extending out into the Istar Sea, creating a barrier wall against the sea and creating a cavern underneath the city. A massive four story circular wall would enclose the city, with 8 Makou Reactors at the points of the compass. At the heart of the city would be the Tripower Tower, which houses the Tripowerian Government and other related groups. The interior of the predesigned city would be constructed and auctioned off.

The city was completed in 1258 and an opening ceremony would be held outside the Southern Gates. A crowd of 'new' citizens gathered outside for the celebration, but seeded within the crowd were Vectorian Soldiers, suicide bombers who would denonate themselves. This attack would lead the two governments to enter a war, better known as the 1st Tripowerian-Vectorian War against Ganon Vector.

During this first war there was a technology race between Vector and the Tripower. The Tripowerian Makou Energy had replaced the Vectorian Invented Coal-Powered Steam Energy, and the Vectorians desperately seeked to replace Makou to reclaim their position in the world and would end up creating Magitek. This technology would not replace Makou but would lead to such inventions such as the Magitek Armor Machinery. Due to the source of Magitek Fuel no other government would touch this technology, as it was fueled by the mortal remains of the esper race.

This technology race would lead to the construction of the Makou Cannon, dubbed "Stalin's Organ". A weapon of this size had never been constructed before, it would be at least half the length of the City of Torregiano, and mounted fourteen stories above everyone's head. Sitting on five support rings the cannon was able to rotate 359 degrees around the city. Different artillery was designed for the cannon from projectiles such as massive cannon balls. Its main firepower came from the 8 Makou Reactors. Makou Gas under high compression would explode in a firey and magical explosion. The cannon design funneled this magical energy into a beam of destructive energy. This weapon has the capability of destroying anything from a small animal in a forest to an entire city.

Stalin's Organ would be used several times during the course of the Two Vectorian Wars. Its first firing was met with diaster. The cannon's recoil was much stronger than anticipated, causing the support structure underneath it to collapse, dropping the massive weapon into the city interior. The cannon was actually destroyed in the fall, but was salavaged, melted and reforged into the new and current makou cannon.

Over the years Torregiano has expanded downwards, creating a second underground level to the city. This underground level houses several key locations of the city including the Airship Port, Airship Hangers and a new commerical district dubbed Wall Market Street (the only section of Torregiano to suffer a devestating explosion caused by Makou Gas). Current projects in this underground sector will also include more residencial houses, which is currently exclusive to the surface. This underground sector is also home to the Torregiano Railroady System which connects into the Vectorian Continental Railroad System outside the city.

To the north of Torregiano is Accomaxx Island, located in the protected Legionaire Harbor that Torregiano is built into. Accomaxx Island was once home to the Tripower Legion Army, but has now become home to the upperclass citizens of Torregiano, seeking escape from the busy city.
