The Vectorian Empire now fell into a deep idle sleep. With what little remains of the Vectorian Fortune, Kefka had the centuries old Fortress of Vector torn down, using its metal structure to create the realm's largest airsihp known as the Geomancer. Attempts were made to reconstruct the Magitek Army, but the government found lack in support and willing soldiers. The world itself turned its attention from Vector to the natural disaster in the sky, the meteor dubbed RagNaRok.

Four years passed since the 1267 Battle of Westbridge, and then suddenly Vector became active yet again. The small village that stood around the old Fortress of Vector turned into a medium size city (dubbed Vector City). Massive amounts of construction and repair work has been done to Vector City and other places in Vector. A massive complex of factories were construction, and since 1272 have been active. But still the Empire lacks support and citizens, and still cannot form a proper army. Since Westbridge Kefka has remained silent towards the citizen ran government of the empire. A field to the north of the city and airship Geomancer contains row after row of now rusting Magitek Armor.

In most recent events, Vector has made the claim that their factory workers are paid and treated better than Tripowerian Workers. A series of newspaper articles were published in both empires comparing the two. This has caused unrest in the Tripower, as their workers who are a part of an organized labor group called the Torregiano Workers Union have gone on strike. With the lack of goods and materials from the Tripower, Vector is now gaining power in the trade market, and the gossip mills rumor that Vector is gearing up for a 3rd war wit the Tripower.

History

The Vectorian Empire is only one of two empires that survived 'The Great Calamity' diaster that brought civilization to its knees (in Century 0). Since its reconstruction the empire has stood as the richest and most modern government on the Great Realms Continent, leading the rest of the world in the art of business, trade, science, magic, and technology.

By the 2nd century the empire had given back the iron age to the realms, and by the 4th century had created an industrial revolution in the realms. In the 5th century the Vectorians placed rules and regulations on business trade, and founded the idea of Corperations and the Stock Market by the 6th century. Its research with Wizards and Scientists led to the discover of the Lifestream by the 7th century and gave birth to steam power in the 8th century. With the creation of steam power, new inventions began to pour out from Vector, its most known accomplishment besides the steam engine was the locomotive and railroad systems built across the Great Realms, which revolutionized the Business & Trade Market.

Peace and prosperity ruled over Vector until the 10th century. For one hundred years the Vectorian Empire had signed business contracts with their southern neighbors, the Doma Kingdom. The contract was for the trade of Doma's raw materials for Vectorian Platinum Currency, and was signed and agree'd on every several years. A disagreement on material prices led to this war, Doma calling the Vectorian Price Quote unfair.

The Vectorian Armies pushed into the borders of Doma, slowly making their way to its capital city. There a battle would bring about the climax of the Vectorian Empire. Orders were sent to the armies to poison the Doma River and salt the royal agriculture fields. Keeping a vigial watch outside the capital city, Vector waited until the people of Doma were dead, and destroyed their kingdom. With this action the other empires of the world turned a scoulding eye towards Vector for their actions with Doma, and allow greed and corruption to infiltrate its government.

By the 12th century the Empire had lost touch with an area known as the Southern Tier, located in its southern borders. A mountain range known as the Reaper's Scythe seperated the main lands of Vector from this region. Criminal Bosses began to take rulership over the cityships of the Southern Tier, forcing the small faction governments out of office. The Empire turned a blind eye as the Crime Bosses paid bribes and "taxes" to the Vectorian Government. These bosses ruled over the Southern Tier until 1245, when their leaders were assistanted with a "terrorist organization" known as the Tripower Resistance Group. With the crime bosses gone, The Empire was now forced to retake power over the Southern Tier.

With this the Tripower changed their tactics from guerilla warfare to the political arena. They challenged the Vectorian Empire to a vote, to allow the people of the Southern Tier to choose who would rule over them. While the Vectorian Empire counted on fear to keep the people from voting, the Tripower Resistanace Group now dubbing itself the Tripower State, promised the people to reconstruct the cities of the Southern Tier, which had fallen into disrepair under the Crime Bosses rulership, and then return them back to their original Faction Governments (who would no longer be under the thumb of Vector).

In 1247 the people of the Southern Tier voted for the Tripower State, and Vector under the eyes of the Great Realms bowed gracefully away from its Southern Tier. This was the first of several major blows to Vector's stance of power in the world.

Four years later the Tripower would take the Vectorian discovered lifestream, and figure a way to turn it into energy. As Vector had done centuries ago with steam power, the Tripower State created a slew of inventions that ran off of Makou Gas, the energy source it created from the lifestream. Makou Energy replaced Steam Energy, and the Tripower replaced the old inventions of the Vectorians.

Locomotives became trains, steam powered engines gave way to makou fueled combustion engines. The Tripower took an old failed Vectorian Invention known as the airship, and revolutionized and created a functional version. With all these new inventions, the Tripower surpassed Vector has leaders of Corperation, Business and Trade. The final blow to Vector.

At the end of 1258 the Tripower State held a grand opening ceremony for their preplanned and newly constructed capital city, Torregiano. This would be the start of the first Tripowerian - Vectorian War, in which Ganon Vector ordered several Vectorian Soldiers to strapped themselves with black powder and detonate themselves amounst the crowd that would gather. Hundreds were killed and the Tripower quickly declared war on the Vectorian Empire.
