What is the WBA? .. The [W]orld [B]attle [A]rena are events held by the immortal staff which involve player versus player battle, be it one on one or groups. It was started originally before the mud had an automatic arena system, and afterwards became special events. Details of these years can be found in the WBA History section. The original WBA ran from 1997 until 2001, ending with the mud's biggest event to date, the Slaughterama Competition. After 2001 the WBA faded away. As of April 2008 the WBA is making a come back with several different versions to keep the masses entertained. .. Currently 'Thursday Night Fights' features random elimination bracket matches such as the WBAs of old, and is held every Thursday Night at 10pm Eastern Standard (22 Waterdeep Standard). A Champion is belted every week, and must defend against it at the next competition. .. Anarchy City Series features player killing within a certain zone of the mud, using certain flags that give the zone certain effects, such as the two always used, FreePK and NoLoot, which means any player can take part in it, and you will not lose your equipment (unless something bad does happen). Results are tabbed and the top 3 Best Killers are given prizes, typically a powerful weapon. There is also the Best In Show winner slots which rank the top 3 'best' in show people. This score is caculated by subtracting how many times you died from how many kills you've made. Winners of these slots (typically part of the winning killers) gets a money or quest point prize.
